A positive and negative representation of distortion is used in this design to illustrate the manipulation of current technology in its progression into the future, and how this is a controversial topic to navigate. Using low-fi technology to scan and manipulate clean text, this illustrates how things can be changed as a result of dystopic or utopic technology, evident through the symbolic form of the motion and direction of the type. There can be ambiguity in what distorted type means, it can often look pessimistic in its approach, which is offset by a strong colour representing each perspective for each novel.
